GIRLS KIDNAPPED IN NIGERIA
Girls and young women are being kidnapped from their schools in Nigeria and being forced to marry Islamic extremist abductors. These girls are being sold into marriage to the Boko Haram militants for the price of 12 dollars which equals to about 2,000 naira. The Nigerian government needs to get international help to rescue these 200 girls. This kidnapping came after hours of a massive explosion in Abuja, and killed at least 75 people. What kind of International help do you think Nigeria needs?

How Nigeria Became Africa's Largest Economy Overnight

http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2014/04/how-nigeria-became-africas-largest-economy-overnight/360288/

On Sunday, Nigeria's economy DOUBLED. That doesn't happen often...

The image above was released by the National Bureau of Labor Statistics in order to humorously show the overnight transformation.

Looking at the graph above, it's not surprising that factoring in telecom would make such a huge difference to Nigeria's GDP. There are around 120 million phone users out of a population of 170 million.
This shows that Sub-Saharan Africa as a whole may have been growing a faster rates than economists have projected. But to quote directly from Friedman:

"The good news is that the Nigerian government now has a better system for measuring its economy. The bad news? Knowing Nigeria has a $510-billion economy doesn't reveal a whole lot about the welfare of its citizens."

Dozens Killedin Nigeria Clashes: More evidence of a failed state?

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/africa/2014/04/dozens-killed-nigeria-clashes-2014425211344416299.html

On April 14th, 230 schoolgirls were abducted and are believed to be held in Northern Nigeria. On the same day of the kidnappings, there was a deadly attack on the capital, by the Boko Haram. Are these two events more evidence of Nigeria being a failed state? This violence on innocent people by one group is astounding. Goodluck Jonathan says that finding these girls are his top priority...yet does he just make things worse?
Black Out in South Nigeria

With supply such as electricity dwindling. Many drastic measure have been made to make sure that Nigeria will never loose short of electricity. They have fear for there workers as well, some of which have been in terrible conditions. After the NLC meets how do you think Nigeria will be able to handle these outcomes?
